Temperature probe

These enhanced and responsive sensors are typically used to sense air, liquid immersion, and solid surface temperature. According to customer application requirements, Honeywell's temperature probes have different housing materials and styles, end connections, and curve types. The Honeywell temperature probe kit can integrate negative temperature coefficient (NTC), silicon-based positive temperature coefficient (KTY), or resistance temperature detector (RTD) output types.

RTD sensor

Platinum or silicon materials, thick films, and laser fine tuned sensors provide accurate, stable, and fast linear output. Wide temperature range. Platinum based RTDs are laser fine tuned to ensure accuracy and flexibility. It is used to provide stable and fast linear output. RTD temperature sensors have precision and interchangeability, are available in plastic or ceramic, are miniaturized or surface mount housings (including printed circuit board terminals).

Thermistor

Change resistance with temperature variation. Wide range of resistance values and temperatures, packaging styles and sizes. Thermistors change resistance with temperature changes. They do not amplify, correct, polarize, or generate signals. The temperature of a thermistor may change due to changes in ambient temperature or self heating caused by the passage of current. Most applications such as temperature measurement, control, or copper wire compensation require the power dispersed in the thermistor to be kept to a minimum to avoid heating the thermistor in imperceptible conditions. Other applications depend entirely on the self heating effect.
