Omron Group was founded in 1933 when Mr. Kazuma Tachibana established a small factory called Tachibana Electric Manufacturing in Osaka, with only two employees at the time. In addition to producing timers in the initial stage, the company later specialized in producing protective relays. The manufacturing of these two products became the starting point for Omron Corporation. In order to adapt to the development of the times, during the 50th anniversary of the company's establishment, the company name and brand name were unified and changed to "Omron Corporation". As of March 31, 2012, there were 35992 employees, with a global revenue of 619.5 billion yen and hundreds of thousands of product varieties, covering a wide range of fields such as industrial automation control systems, electronic components, automotive electronics, social systems, and health and medical equipment.

Since its establishment on May 10, 1933, Omron Group has been the first to develop and produce a series of products and equipment systems, including contactless proximity switches, electronic automatic sensing signals, vending machines, station automatic ticketing systems, cancer cell automatic diagnosis, etc., by continuously creating new social demands.
